Submissions for State of the Browser are now closed.

For 3 years State of the Browser has been the UK conference dedicated to new and upcoming features in the web browser. In 2014 we have decided to open up the conference a bit, so that the main talks are not solely from browser vendors and cover a wide remit on where the web is going and indeed the ‘State of the Browser’ now. The panel at the end of the day will now be on a web-standards theme, moderated by Dan Appelquist.

The conference will be held in London on 26th April 2014.

We are looking for speakers to present at this year’s conference (you will have 30 mins for your talk). This year’s theme is “What are our responsibilities as web professionals” and where possible we would like the talks to reference that. We are interested in the following topics, but feel free to submit your talk abstract on other topics you think might be relevant:

  • CSS/Pre-Processors
  • Linked Data
  • New Elements – <picture>, etc
  • Offline
  • Responsive
