An update on London Web Standards

Firstly, our apologies that we’ve been so quiet. The organisers have all been really busy which has led to us dropping the ball somewhat. Things have been happening in the background, but not quite enough to keep up with a monthly event plus planning an all-day conference.

We’ve also found it difficult to get a permanent venue to hold 100+ web folk on a monthly basis. We’ve had a great response from the community, and we’re still investigating these leads and haven’t settled on one yet. If you know anywhere that could fit us, please get in touch.

But now, we’re back.

The next event

We’re planning to have our next monthly event in May and will post again shortly when we have it confirmed. As always, let us know if you’d like to speak at a London Web Standards event (

What’s happening with State of the Browser?

We could have rushed the event to get it ready in time for April but we decided to postpone it to later in the year. This will give us more time to get together speakers, sponsors and all the bits we need to put on a great conference for you. The new date is Saturday 12 September, once again at the lovely Conway Hall, in Holborn. Make sure to hold the date in your diary.

Thanks for your patience with us, and we look forward to seeing you at an event very soon.
